Marshfield Press shapes multimedia conversations about Black life in the United States, empowering people to write and record their own stories on their own terms. In exchange, the press builds and sustains active communities around those stories.
First and foremost, the press serves the citizens of Chicago’s Southside. Second, the press serves academics pushing the boundaries of scholarly production. Finally, the press is committed to producing media and information for the greater cultural good.
